The Art of Hosting and Harvesting Conversations that Matter

What more is possible if we practice togetherness and active hope to build collective resilience?

How can we strengthen our ability to act and create the changes we long to see?

We live in turbulent and challenging times. Many people are losing hope and feel desperate due to the climate crisis, the war in Ukraine, the state of the economy and the rising cost of living, the state of democracies, and diminished human rights. Our communities long for leadership that is not corrupt and self-serving. We know that our world order is transitioning and at a pivotal point. All of this results in little stability and certainty, making many of us feel unsafe and disconnected from one another. We long to participate in creating a healthy world, but many of us lack the opportunities and practices to do so.

An interesting paradox is that in times of crisis, turning to one another becomes crucial. Letting go of our individualism and moving to our togetherness becomes an antidote. Not giving up and engaging in active hope regenerates us and gives us the strength to continue. We know that building resilience is the only way, and doing it together is a new power.

Hungary, our place for this Art of Hosting and Harvesting Meaningful Conversations training, is a perfect location to gather and be in the question of practicing togetherness and active hope to build resilience. This land has seen many of its people leave for a chance to have a more creative and prosperous life. Many European values have been curtailed or blocked, and people are desperate and devoid of hope that change will come. Yet again, paradoxically, it is in places like this where societal innovation occurs, where we can learn to strengthen our ability to act, dig deeper into our communities, and find new forms of collective leadership.

That's why we are excited to invite you to our upcoming Art of Hosting and Harvesting Meaningful Conversations training. We will gather as a diverse community to explore and surface practices of togetherness based on a living systems worldview. Through participatory methods and mental models, we will tap into our collective intelligence and gain new perspectives on how to build resilience and create a just, healthy world for ourselves, our families, and future generations. We hope you'll join us in this fertile learning space, where we can find new ways to create a better future for all.

Who is this training for?

If you find yourself afflicted by…

Meetings, that lead to no action?
Conferences, that have too many talking heads but not enough real engagement and wisdom?
Cross-functional teams, that are more loyal to their function than their team – or vice versa?
Silo thinking and political infighting?
Decisions made too far away from those impacted by them?
NGOs, who work for their purpose and forget the common good, the whole picture, and collaboration with others?
Learning situations where both teachers and students are unhappy or unfulfilled?
Communities with a consistent lack of dialogue, tension, and difference of opinion or fall into apathy and indifference?

If these describe your reality and you desire a more collaborative and generative process, this training is for you. We designed it for people working in the private and public sectors, NGOs, community organizing, and activist work – anywhere that a vibrant learning space can contribute to collaboration and results.
